Marching Onward

Hi Ho Ha Long Bay!

As far as I can tell, the following is my plan for the next few days:

  • Leave tomorrow (27th) morning for Ha Long Bay.
  • Get back to Hanoi Friday evening around 5pm.
  • Sleep in Hanoi Friday night/Spend Saturday in Hanoi.
  • Evening bus from Hanoi to Hue on Saturday; arrive in Hue morning of Sunday March 31st.

I wanted to leave for Hue Friday evening, but apparently since I’ve waited until the last minute (go figure) to book my train ticket, the earliest I can go is Saturday.  While one day isn’t too big of a deal, I do worry that I’ve spent too long in Hanoi for my 30 day visa and that I may miss out on one or two cities at the end.  I’ve been told you can renew your visa, although I don’t know the cost.  It’s something worth looking into as I come closer to April 22nd.

Also, I do not expect that my floating palace (AKA the boat I’m on the next 2.5 days) will have wifi.  This will be my last post for a few days – my guess is Friday night or Saturday morning will be the next update.

    • According to the officially reported numbers there are about 11,000 deaths a year from automobiles. That’s about 30 a day for the whole country. Just don’t step backwards and you should be okay.

It is always very kind and also jam-packed with a great time for me personally and my office peers to visit your web site a minimum of three times weekly to study the new tips you will have. And indeed, I’m at all times happy with the outstanding creative concepts you give. Selected 1 tips on this page are rather the very best we’ve ever had
