Half a year. Six months. 186 days. Regardless of how you want to define it, this trip has now gone on longer than I ever expected it to. Along the way there have been a number of ridiculous (and potentially previously unmentioned) stories. Today seems like a great day to make a summary of the last 186 days and share some details of the stories that have previously remained secret. Perhaps “summary” isn’t the best way to describe this – there are a lot of pictures, some old stories, some new stories, and then more pictures.
After 2.5 weeks in Cambodia, I’m packing up and heading west to Thailand.
In addition to my ‘fancy’ camera, I find myself using my iPhone to take many spontaneous pictures throughout my travels. The following is a collection of pictures and accompanying stories about Cambodia – seen through the lens of my iPhone.
One of the greatest things about traveling without a plan is that you’ll find yourself in places you never expected to be.
This post could alternatively be named “Indiana Jones and the temple of sunburn, sweat, and sales-children.”
No words – all pictures. Many thousand words?
As I write this I’m back in Sihanoukville, land of beaches, beer, and tuk-tuk drivers disguised as vultures (or perhaps it’s the other way around).
I’ve been on Koh Rong for, I think, three days now. The island is amazing. There are supposed to be 20 beaches on the island and I’ve seen 3 of them. I could seriously stay here for the next month just to see the rest of them.
I have a confession to make. If you know me well this won’t be a surprise. I can’t sit still very well.
How to summarize Cambodia? Same Same But Different.
