Since I haven’t done a great job of writing anything lately, it seemed like a good idea to throw some new pictures up. Some are better than others and all could use better descriptions – but it may fill in some of the last five days.

(This was written two days ago but finding Wifi has been difficult lately while island hopping.)
For the first time in this entire trip – I actually know where I will be for the next 9 days.
I’ve had trouble finding the time and words to explain Bangkok. It’s most likely because I blew through the city (for a second time) on my way south 800 miles.
I could be in SoHo, Berkley, or hell – even Paris itself. I’m not. I’m in the northern part of Thailand in a small town called Pai, and it’s fantastic.
In Chiang Mai I was able to go through the full range of backpacker experiences: Great food, the smell of raw sewage, shoddy plumbing, and an inviting city that appears to be one-part Thai and two-parts Mediterranean.
My arrival into Bangkok began with something I once considered unfathomable – a Starbucks without free WiFi.
In the last 2 days I’ve covered roughly 700 miles by bus and train.
