Taiwan: In case of accidental sunshine – break glass

My time in Taiwan hasn’t been constant doom and gloom; there may have even been a three day period where  it didn’t rain at all.  That said, even when it’s not raining in Taiwan there is moisture in the air – at least in late summer.  The average high temperature in August is 91F (34C) and the average low is 80F (27C), but that’s only half the story; in actuality that’s 91 degrees with a 50% chance of thunderstorm and a 100% chance of ungodly humidity.  So, in case of an emergency and the sun does come out – what’s a guy to do?

Melbourne – Street Art Heaven II

I went hunting yesterday.  Graffiti hunting.  What this means is that I put on my cold weather gear (hoodie AND jacket) and started walking in the direction of a neighborhood in the process of being gentrified.  I discovered there are a few varieties of street art – spray paint, stickers, and posters.  Here’s some of what I found.

Melbourne – Street Art Heaven

A trip to Melbourne isn’t complete unless you take in the local art scene.  It’s not found at any museum and there is no cover charge.  (Go check out the Monet exhibit if that’s what you’re into…)  No, the local art in Melbourne is found in the back of tiny alleys or around the corner of any number of major streets.  The medium is typically paint – spray paint.
